A Love Affair with Nature

I've always loved the myriad forms and colors found in nature. The picture above is from an Epiphyllum or Jungle Cactus that just opened in full glory this morning. The petals sparkle like diamond dust and the stamens sweep out from the flower like white lace dancing in the wind. Alas, they are fragile and seldom last more than a week but they are worth the yearly wait. Better yet, with enough different varieties, you get flowers for a month or two in a riot of red, orange, yellow, purple and white. As a bonus, the plants are hardy, grow outside in subtropical climates and easily sprout from cuttings. What more could you ask for?
