Lipstick Miscue

Koi with a lipstick-like marking. I did a double take when I saw this koi going by, thinking it reminded me of a bad lipstick day for a gal rushing out of the house. What's a koi to do anyhow?

Koi. Just a Carp eat carp world, isn't it? LOL. Wait a minute, something's fishy about that quote! LOL. Love the expression on the carp in the middle. He's definitely committed to getting some carp chow.

Something Special

White Koi, Wahiawa, Hawaii. This little Koi was jumping just a little higher to get his dinner. As for us, it's always nice to think we stand out from the crowd as just something a little bit special, each in our own way. Everyone has a something to be proud of and people that care for them just as they are. When times are tough, it's good to remember that we are all worthwhile and that there are people who love us.

Carpe Diem or Koi du Jour

Nothing quite so brilliant as a koi in full sun in an outdoor garden. This koi was passing by, idly looking for food as Koi do. It highlights some of that wonderful San Diego weather as well.

Boiling Carp!

It's random picture day! I need to get going with the homework so I quasi-randomly chose one of my folders and scanned for the first of my pictures to catch my eye. Voila, I give you "boiling carp!" [That's just a bunch of carp! Ar, Ar...grin]. Actually, these are Koi in the Koi pond at the Dole Plantation in Wahiawa, Hawaii. When you purchase and toss in Koi food, they literally boil out of the water. The kids have a blast and I dare say I had fun too. Happy Monday...
