Common House Finch Eating Succulents

Common House Finch, Carpodacus mexicanus, Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve, eating leaves off of a succulent growing in the sand dunes.

I'm not entirely sure but I think this is a male House Finch, Carpodacus mexicanus. A pair of them were grazing on seeds along the river.
